It does not really need anything. Do not try to force from the tube and fuse boxes or something to draw. You car engine will be water in all the time for most of the things that really need protection now.
Even if you do not get water into the air cleaner and carburetor, you should be good. If you are such injections, make sure that receive no water in this system. Furthermore, it should be nothing to fear.
